“Empowering children through
sensory play and connection”

Our Purpose & Passion
Thriving through understanding
At Our Sensory Nest we offer a variety of services designed to support neurodivergent children, adults, and their families. From capacity building and counselling to compassionate support work and parent coaching, our focus is on delivering care that is both gentle and empowering.
We also provide psychoeducation to help parents identify and shift unhelpful or ingrained patterns in their thinking. Our goal isn’t to “fix” anyone, but to support individuals in growing and thriving in ways that align with their unique needs and preferences.
Ultimately we strive to help your child experience joy, laughter, and a strong sense of belonging and identity within
their community.

Who We Are
At Our Sensory Nest we are committed to supporting neurodivergent children and
their families through a neuroaffirming,
inclusive and gentle approach.
We understand that all children have different ways of communicating, connecting, and experiencing the world around them—and we embrace
those differences fully.

Our approach is not about changing children to meet societal expectations. Instead we focus on adapting the world around them to create safety, confidence, and connection.

What We Believe

We believe that every child deserves to feel safe, understood, and valued.
Neurodivergence is not something to be “fixed”—it is a natural and beautiful variation of human experience.

Our role is to help parents, caregivers, and educators understand their child’s unique needs and communication styles so they can build stronger, more secure relationships based on trust and empathy.

We don’t push one-size-fits-all strategies. Instead, we help families discover what works best for their child’s nervous system, environment, and preferences—without judgment, shame, or pressure.

Advocacy in Action
Our work goes beyond one-on-one support. We advocate alongside families in kindergartens, schools, and community settings to help children feel safe and accepted wherever they go.

We provide psychoeducation to gently shift outdated beliefs and build confidence in caregivers, allowing them to advocate for their children with clarity and compassion.

Through inclusive strategies and open collaboration, we help create environments where neurodivergent children are celebrated—not merely tolerated.

Why It Matters
When we meet a child with curiosity instead of correction, when we slow down and attune to what they’re trying to tell us, we open the door to connection, safety, and trust.

We are here to support families in seeing their children clearly and confidently—so every child can grow up knowing they are loved, respected, and free to be exactly
who they are.

When children are understood they thrive.
Our goal is not to change who they are, but to support them
in becoming everything they already are.
